    Practical privacy screen for the Mac, but does not like vibrations

    I bought it for my MacBook Pro 2016, 13". Basically it works well and serves its purpose, but it is much more difficult to see anything on the display from the side. If you sit directly in front of it, you won't notice much, which is how it should be.

    The thing is magnetic, which means you can attach and remove it without any other aids. The disadvantage of this is that the Mac cannot be closed completely afterwards, a small gap is unavoidable with this design. But that doesn't really bother me.

    However, in my experience, when travelling by train or plane, the thing regularly shifts a little downwards, i.e. the menu bar at the top is cut off a little. But of course it can easily be pushed up.

    Too thick, does not fit well and therefore blurred. Privacy insufficient.

    Unfortunately, this screen "film" is too thick: although it can be magnetically attached to the upper edge of the screen, which looks very elegant, the thickness means that it does not lie completely against the screen on my MacBook Air 2013. This gap creates a blur at the edges. The privacy feature is also insufficient in my opinion. With full screen illumination, the screen remains easily readable for the neighbour on the train. It gets better with reduced lighting, but then you can see almost nothing yourself. Unfortunately insufficient for me - I decided to use the 3M film.

    • Magnetic holder, therefore easy to remove

    Contra

    • The film does not lie very close to the screen due to the holder. This results in a blurred picture.
    • Privacy function insufficient in my opinion
