    Highly recommended

I find the turntable PS-HX500 very noble, good workmanship and also an attractive
design! Sure he is not fully automatic but that's exactly what I was looking for! This reminds me of earlier where there were only the manual
    turntables and I love that!

    Price/performance 1A!

Fulfils its purpose and does so super! The only drawback is the volume of the output. Connected to a Sonos system, I have to turn the volume up to almost 100% to get a reasonably loud sound. This is probably due to the internal amplifier, which simply has too little power! Nevertheless, I am absolutely satisfied! It looks very sexy, has a nice sound and is easy to use.

    ***UPDATE
Thanks to a Digitec.ch user, I was able to reset the input on my Sonos PLAY:5 and increase the volume, so this criterion no longer applies! 4* to 5*

    Great soldering kit

I unpacked the thing right away. The first surprise came when first did nothing. So you could hear the changed hum in the audio, that the electronics is doing its job, but the platter has not turned. Then realized that this is not, as first assumed, a record player but a pedagogically highly sophisticated, level-based learning system:

Level 1: Unscrew the motor, inspect everything a bit, screw it back together. Suddenly it works and you admire the great sound and find the part quite good after all. Learned: It's easier to take a quick look than to bring it back.

Level 2: At some point it starts to sporadically not turn anymore. If you wiggle a bit, then it does maybe again so you come to terms with it. For the return it would be too late anyway. And again unscrew one does not like. Learned: A little wiggle can do a lot.

Level 3: Wiggling doesn't help anymore. So unscrew again. You can see: a wire slipped out of the soldering point, so that's where the loose contact came from. Learned: Sony also has amateurs soldering.

Boss-Level: After all, you don't have the soldering iron for free, so you get to work. You patch the solder joint, test it with the multimeter and despair. Nothing works, not even the hum on the audio channel. Learned: One should not have left the loose contact so long, because the wobbling cable has created a short circuit, which has brought the power supply permanently to its knees...

All in all a great part, for those who never want to stop learning. Why raphakaram then still gives only one star, you will ask yourself... Reason is the miserable quality of the manual, which mentions all these great learning levels with not a word.
