I bought this camera as an upgrade from the DSC-RX100 III, and the upgrade was worth it. And how!
What is particularly striking, apart from the new 24-200mm zoom lens, is the very precise phase autofocus. Thanks to this, I haven't had a single out-of-focus picture so far. I had that relatively often with the RX100 III. And the autofocus is really extremely fast!
The image quality is amazingly good for such a small camera, even at 200mm. The touch screen is a welcome innovation, but it can only be used for focusing (which I find quite OK). I also find the new menu navigation (adopted from the Sony Alpha series) an improvement.
Unfortunately, this model still does not have an external microphone connection, so it is not necessarily suitable for vloggers and the like.
Attention: if you want to make videos, you have to decide in advance whether you want to shoot them at 50fps or 60fps. Every time you switch from 50 to 60 (or vice versa), you have to format the SD card.
Conclusion: if you want a top compact camera that covers everything, the DSC-RX100 VI is an ideal choice. If you're coming from an RX 100 III or older, I can recommend the upgrade. Likewise if you want the 200mm zoom.
The only downer is the very high price.

I first bought the camera as Mark3 and am still a fan of it. The camera is a top alternative to my other larger camera with interchangeable lens. As a result of size, setting options and image quality, it is the right alternative. I can take it everywhere and it is easy to handle and on a professional level. The camera has nothing to hide from, except the price. This is simply too high.
