At first I had bought a Canon 16-35mm f4 L IS. A highly praised lens.
Somehow I found my unprocessed images a bit bland most of the time.
The Sigma 20mm Art f1.4 offers more colour saturation, contrast, simply more exciting images for my taste.
The Canon is smaller, lighter, more variable (zoom!), has IS and ... is pretty good.
No question about it.
Still, the Sigma is closer to my heart.
PS: the autofocus is smooth, accurate, not quite as fast as Canon.Pro
- Picture quality: colours, contrast!
- Luminous intensity: almost unrivalled!
- Material impression: sexy :)

A really great lens that gives a lot of fun and pleasure. I have already been able to test it under various conditions (daytime photography, nighttime/astro photography) and am very enthusiastic about it. The only downer is the lack of a filter thread, but there are solutions for that too.
