I own this smartphone for a week. Fast delivery by Digitec. Bravo! I also own the current iPhone 12 (standard) 256 GB 5G. Therefore, I am all the more surprised how neatly the Samsung XCover 5 EE in comparison. No question: The iPhone 12 is in (almost) every discipline a tick ahead and "more valuable". And how does the Samsung XCover 5 compare? It surprises with a decent display that absolutely does a good job in everyday use. Yes, in sunlight it is even a touch better than the iPhone 12, which is clearly insufficient here for this price range. Finally, the XCover 5 with 64GB now has enough memory. Likewise, the Samsung-developed Exynos 850 processor with 8 cores has enough thrust to cope well with daily tasks. The same goes for the camera. It is perfectly sufficient for normal snapshots in everyday life and in daylight. However, it reaches its limits when it gets dark and in poor light. Unlike the iPhone 12, the XCover 5 is "only" capable of 4G. However, you won't notice any of this in everyday use. The iPhone 12 can't make use of its 5G compatibility (except when downloading updates, etc.) in everyday life. It's not clear to me on which side the performance bogs down. On the device or on the wireless carrier. In any case, even though I have the subscription to it, 5G does purely nothing for me in everyday life. And what else does the Samsung XCover 5 have to offer? Apparently now 5 years update warranty. At least here in the EE version. Conclusion: The Samsung XCover 5 offers certainly in no discipline outstanding top values. But, and now comes the crucial: It doesn't afford itself any serious weaknesses anywhere either. This fact makes it a robust and reliable companion in everyday use and will easily satisfy most requirements of a normal user. Therefore, for me, the price-performance ratio is: recommendable!

    Extremely compact and balanced smartphone.

Own an iPhone 11 pro as my main phone. The Samsung Xcover 5 I got me as a navi for the motorcycle. I have installed on it Calimoto and Sygic .For this I got me a rubber cover and mounted on it a SP Connect adhesive pad. So I can attach the phone in a second to the motorcycle or car. As a launcher I use DriveMode and as a remote control on the handlebars the Carpe Iter CI Conrol. With this remote control you can zoom into the map or start programs without taking your hands off the handlebar. See also carpe-iter.com/carpe-iter-control/
I am now also amazed how well the Samsung performs in comparison to the iPhone 11 Pro, which is about the same size.
