Good headset for enthusiasts, financially a Razer Kraken 7.1 is much more worthwhile

In my opinion, the price is very high, but with Razer it is similar to Apple, you pay not only for the device but also for the logo. The surround is incredibly good, you feel right in the action, sometimes I even looked backwards because the sounds seemed so real. For gaming, this headset is excellent, although I have to say that it is much more financially worthwhile to get a Razer Kraken, which also already has a very good surround, despite one driver per ear. I don't like to use this headset for listening to music, so I recommend a second pair of headphones for people who are absolutely fussy (like me). After adjusting, the sound is clear. When listening to music, I have to come back to the Razer Kraken, because you can also listen to music excellently with it and the surround is not that much worse than the bass of the Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2. I bought the headset because I've been dreaming of one since the first generation of the Tiamat and I'm completely satisfied with it, even if my expectations weren't exceeded.

    One more tip about tuning:
Many people have complained about the bass, which is weak by Razer's standards, but there's a simple remedy for that:
Simply turn up the subwoofer on the control unit to full and set the others all evenly lower. This way, everyone can adjust the headset the way they want, and the sound is much nicer in 7.1 mode than in stereo.

    Pro

    • incredibly real surround
    • Good control unit - all speakers adjustable to taste
    • Microphone (quality is OK)
    • Lighting (gimmick)
    • Comfortable
    • Flexible
    • Light (Proportional)

    Contra

    • Poor price/performance
    • It needs a sound card, the chip onboard is usually too weak (in my case SupremeFX).
    • No microphone connection on the control unit
    • NOT suitable for listening to music (recommend second pair of headphones for this) (works after adjusting)
    • In my opinion cable between control unit and headset too short (about 1m)
    • Noise with onboard sound chip
