    A NAS that talks to you

    QNAP makes great NAS devices. After a RAM upgrade (which was quite easy), the NAS runs like clockwork. I needed more RAM for virtual machines. If you "only" want to read/shout data and watch videos, the 2GB should be enough.

    The     NAS has a voice output for system events like reboot, firmware update, etc. Even found this really useful during a firmware update because I knew exactly when I could get back to work without knowing exactly which "beep" sequence meant what.
