If I needed a rain cover, I would buy this one. And just as I did, to thereby determine: I do not need a rain cover.
I use my Canon 5D extremely much outdoors and am then always with my PeakDesign Capture Clip (the old version, the new one is too narrow for many shoulder straps of my backpacks) on the way. Since I am also outside in bad weather and photograph, I wanted a rain and weather protection that works well when the camera is hanging on the clip.
The shell from PD can definitely do that. However, the handling of the camera does get affected when the shell is over it. Even though the quick removal of the rain cover is solved quite well here, it is too much fiddling for me. The camera hangs on the shoulder strap because I want to have it ready for use immediately.
Therefore, I have found that I never use the rain cover in principle. Either the conditions are such that my camera can withstand the little bit of moisture, or it quickly goes into the backpack. The range of weather conditions that would allow me to use the camera with shell where I can't without it is so narrow as to be almost non-existent.
That doesn't mean the product is bad, though. It does what it is supposed to do extremely well. It's just kind of redundant.

Very cleanly processed and the function is top. Easy to use in combination with the Peak Design Capture Pro CP2. The protection is quickly mounted, but I needed some practice to install it without problems. When not in use, you can simply fold it up and attach it somewhere using the elastic band. You can also pull up the back part to see the viewfinder and camera settings when taking photos. However, if it is a bit windy, the lens will get rain. So the rain cover on the lens is good as long as the rain doesn't come from the side.
Unfortunately, the battery grip isn't completely covered either, so I'd have to go up a size. The focus ring and the focal length adjustment are a little difficult to use when the cover is on.
