    FZ 2000 versus Sony RX10M4

As a long-time Lumix owner, I finally started looking for a suitable bridge camera, because I was looking for a way to achieve the best possible image quality without changing lenses, especially in video. After studying many tests and reviews, I decided to buy the Sony RX 10M4, especially because I was not satisfied with the autofocus of the Lumix. When I received the camera, I had to get used to the new features of the Sony system, especially the menu layout. After several attempts, I managed to record good videos, although I didn't like some aspects. And despite all that, I have now decided to sell the Sony Bridge camera after one year to go back to Pansonic. Here are some important differences and advantages of the Lumix FZ2000:

As a former Lumix user, I was of course back at home with the menu navigation, starting with the operator buttons already written on the camera out of the box (change functions always came after the fact). Then of course the fold-out monitor, de with the Panasonic fully rotatable and not only in a plane as with the Sony. An important point is also the output of the format in among other things .mov, which Sony does not bring. Sony only has their own special formats that you have to convert first if you want to process them in FCP, for example. A second major difference of the FZ-2000 is the continuous recording of more than 30 min; with the Sony the camera stops after 29:59 min and has to be set again, which of course causes an interruption - very unpleasant when recording concerts or lectures. Finally, the FZ2000 has a built-in ND filter, which is usually only found on professional cameras, and the shorter lens (480 telephoto focal length is usually enough) makes it more manageable.
