One of the best Mircro 4/3 Prime Lens

A great combination with my Panasonic GH5 or Olympus OMD EM5.
The lens guarantees professional quality that pays back the price for the lens (if comercial active).
My work, despite being an amateur and not wealthy, I was
occasionally printed in magazines, and exhibited in different countries, all shot with this lens. That speaks for the image quality this lens can produce.

The Pictures turn sharp and with an 1.4 aperture it let's plenty light through the lens and make low light photography easier.
The autofocus however is not as fast as hoped for and can be noisy during focusing, which bothers during shooting Videos especially.
Considering the Image quality it's a compromise I am willing to take and usually anyway just use it for photography.

It's the one lens I would recommend anyone owns a Micro Four Third camera.

I use the lens with the OM-D E-M5. The lens focuses blazingly fast, and delivers top sharp photos right to the edges even at open aperture 1.4!!! In addition, there is a creamy beautiful bookeh (blur when cropped with open aperture). Direct competitors that I also use:
    - m.zuiko 45 1.8 for portraits even more ideal because of longer focal length
    - Panasonic 20 1.7 for street photography because of slightly larger angle of view of 40 instead of 50 with the Summilux, as well as unrivaled compactness with very good imaging performance. I have this as an immerdrauf for my E-PL3.

    >As always, these are my subjective impressions and everyone should form their own opinion.

A must for the night photographer

Lightweight, super sharp, f1.4 is huge and with a camera that has high ISO, you can shoot at night as well as during the day. A must for the serious photographer.
