    Great device!

    I think this is the best TV box running Android!

    The multimedia functions ( Youtube, Netflix, Spotify... etc...) are great!

    I use it mainly as a Plex Media Server. It's better than my Synology 716+ NAS in transcoding.     The only problem is that when I turn it on, the Shield doesn't detect that my NAS is mounted... I just have to reboot the Shield to get it to work.

    The gamestream feature for streaming games directly from my PC on the other side of the apartment works perfectly (ethernet wiring recommended). This was one of the main reasons I bought the Shield and it works great!

    The Geforcenow function (play in the cloud), I haven't tested it yet, because I don't need it. I already have all the interesting games on my main PC that I stream with Gamestream :)

    In any case, I don't regret my purchase! The only point of vigilance remains the "stability" of the Plex Media Server. The only thing to watch out for is the "stability" of the Plex Media Server, because when the Shield doesn't detect my NAS anymore, the Plex Media Server becomes obsolete.

    For my part, in order to compensate for this lack of "reliability" for Plex Media Server, I continued to let my Synology NAS run it too.

    A Mediabox with a lot of potential!

    All in all, a TOP media console.

    The limitations of the Nvidia Shield prompted me to install a full Android Nougat on it.
    With the Droidmote client, the device can now also be controlled remotely.

    Now I have a full-fledged     open Android Nougat box for the price. This is fun.
    All apps run without problems. With Kodi, films are streamed directly from the NAS.
    The Netflix app runs without problems.
    The Zattoo app rounds off the whole viewing experience.

    Streaming Nvidia games from the PC does not cause any problems either.
    I have my Nvidia Shield running on an Epson beamer. I can finally play my Android games with a game controller.
    Skype with camera is also running.
    What could be better in this price-performance segment?

    The only drawback is that the new Nvidia Shield TV Box no longer has a memory card slot :(

    Best Android TV Box

    In my opinion, the NVIDIA SHIELD TV is one of the best stremboxes out there. It meets all my criteria and so far all apps run smoothly.
