Price/performance is right. AndroidOne. Nokia. Wireless charging

A simple, strong and beautiful smartphone with AndroidOne. Already had an update. Battery lasts 3 days for me. My S7 Edge only lasted 1.5 days at the beginning. The "Edge" wheels are absolutely unnecessary and only disturb me (therefore 4 stars design). It's a shame that there is no SD expansion, but with 128GB of storage it's not a problem for me. Data exchange between S7 Edge and Nokia 8 Sirocco was of course no problem. Great job by NOKIA or HMD. The scope of delivery includes a simple plastic cover, which I find very nice (but I don't need it). I have found the rear fingerprint ingenious since the Nexus 5X. Especially for me, because I can unlock the smartphone as soon as I take it out of my trouser pocket. The wireless headphones from Bose are a great addition. For a long time, buying a smartphone was very emotionless until this smartphone. Nokia rulez

An excellent phone for my needs at a price at the upper limit

My needs were relatively simple, wireless charging and pure Android. Clearly fulfilled! Also, the phone is elegant with the screen over the edges. A clear plus point is the battery life. Especially in standby mode, the Nokia hardly needs any power.

I was expecting more powerful cameras, but in general I'm very satisfied with the phone, which has surprised me so far with its fluidity and battery life.

It's a very compact and robust phone that fits well in the hand (especially with the plastic shell that comes with it).
Very elegant design, a large 5.5 inch screen that does not follow the 18:9 fashion but stays in 16:9
    (for me a positive point)
With Android almost stock and in version One, the phone is very powerful and fluid. In about two weeks of use it has never slowed down. It has received the first start of Android Oreo 8.1, so so far the support from Nokia is very good.
With the rather "small" battery compared to the competitors and the 2k screen I expected a not exceptional life. This may be the best surprise of the phone for me: the battery lasts very well during the day and I can easily get to the evening with 15-30% of battery left. The phone has a very elegant and compact design, so I had to sacrifice the jack plug, which is missing, as well as a dual SIM version or support for an SD card. The 5mpx front camera is also satisfactory but not exceptional for a high end phone and the main cameras (which can take very nice pictures in good conditions) suffer a bit from the lack of a real optical stabilization (especially during lightless situations like during the night).

    Pro

    • Elegant design, a large 5.5 inch screen in 16:9 while keeping the dimensions small
    • Highly efficient and fluid
    • Good battery life
    • Android in stock and up to date version

    Contra

    • Main camera not optically stabilised and front camera not exceptional
    • Lack of jack
    • Single SIM version only and without SD card support
