purchased this productRecommended for interior photography or creative shots. The price makes it worth buying even for occasional use.
Very wide angle lenses for APS-C SLRs are rare, especially for amateurs who do not want to spend CHF 1500 or more. This one is a good compromise between very good quality and a reasonable price.
Pro
- Very wide angle, little optical distortion (the cameras can also correct this)
- Good optical quality. Correct mechanical quality (especially for the price)
- Low weight, small footprint.
- Very reasonable price.
Contra
- Compatible only with recent cameras. Otherwise no focusing, even manual!
- Mechanical quality a little low for heavy use.

purchased this productNice to have but not indispensable
I bought the lens because of the attractive price for a city trip. But so far I've got away with the 18-105. More wide-angle distortions are very strong. Let's see, maybe I need it more for landscape photography. It's not quite as sharp as the 18-105, which has an exceptional price-performance ratio in the set offer and is a very good lens overall, even compared to the 18-200.
