Is a good thing. It's the first really usable (because really PnP) wireless video+sound transfer. Worth the 60 Fr; anyone with Windows 10 should just have it in their pocket. And for at home you save the thick cable (dust, cable tangle, ..).
Limitations compared to regular HDMI cables:
- The PC / smartphone must necessarily be on Windows 10. Intel WiDi did not work for me, because very restrictive in the technical requirements.
- You have to reconnect the screen after each login. Win10 does not do that automatically.
- The connection does not usually work at first attempt; it takes at least 2 attempts each time.
- The connection is mostly but not always stable. Professional presentations etc. - risky.
- PC crashes: it may be due to my Surface Pro 4, but already had to "reanimate" twice.
- Image quality is visibly worse because the transmission is compressed (massively?) Probably. Color display somewhat expressionless and estimated 200ms latency.
- The device gets hot.
But don't be put off: it is and remains a useful thing. And a little magic remains. That's when my kids looked...
