    Absolutely recommended purchase!

After having to work with an iPad for more than a year for business purposes, my conclusion after a week with Surface is: There is a WORLD of difference between Apple and Microsoft. Microsoft has created a workhorse with the Surface! Surface is a full laptop; Apple for Wannabees.

    Pro

    • The Surface is a fully-fledged computer that can be used for working
    • Office runs -- in contrast to the IPad -- absolutely flawlessly.

    Contra

    • OneNote does not come close to GoodNotes
    • Accessories are expensive and must be purchased separately.

    Awesome Windows hybrid device

I have been waiting a while to buy a Surface device and I am really satisfied with this model. It is a pity that the keyboard and pen have to be purchased separately and are quite expensive.

    Pro

    • Elegant design
    • Good performance
    • Excellent battery life

    Contra

    • Expensive must have accessories

The switch from the Surface Pro 4 is not really worth it, apart from the longer battery life and the lack of fan on the i5. Still, I don't regret it.

I came from the Surface Pro 4 and am very satisfied so far.
The only annoying bug is that the device switches off in the middle of operation without a message, which apparently occurs with some devices.
    Microsoft has fixed
the bug with an update in the meantime.
Otherwise a great device. Very good battery life (I manage about 9 hours). No more active fan in the i5 model.
I find it weak that you get less for the same price compared to the old one. The pen has to be bought separately for over 100Fr. then the keyboard which also costs over 150Fr. makes the whole thing quite expensive in the meantime.

    Pro

    • Battery life
    • good performance
    • No fan in i5 and m3 model

    Contra

    • Price & price of the accessories that you actually practically have to have (keyboard and pen)
