This nostalgic BT speaker serves me well as a device for playing along when practising the saxophone: It's good that it doesn't have a rechargeable battery, because the device is in a fixed place with a power socket. A battery is therefore unnecessary and this certainly contributes to the rather low price. It's also good that the power supply is built in: external power supplies can be a real pain ...
The jack plug is great because the connection via apps is sometimes prone to interference. By the way: The sound is of course also good, it always amazes me what good sound small speakers can produce nowadays. The only thing that annoys me is that the lever to switch it on is stupid, a button that you can "press in" would fit in well with the nostalgic design and would be much more practical!
To digitec: I don't think it's good that you have to rate all the criteria: E.g. workmanship: I'll see in three years!

The speakers sound okay. Of course, not comparable with a good hi-fi system, but enough to let you listen to some music on the side. Unfortunately, the device has an unspeakable standby function. If I plug in my laptop via the jack port, for example, the unit goes into standby after a few minutes without sound. If I then play sound, nothing happens and I have to manually wake the device from standby. What's the point of something like that with speakers? They should keep running if I don't explicitly switch them off.
Without standby it would be 4/5, with standby unfortunately a bad buy.
