    Bargains with qualities!

    I bought the first unit a month ago. I use it with Teufel floor-standing speakers. I am so satisfied with the versatility (DLNA, USB, Internet radio, Spotify, etc.), the operation (via app, via PC and via remote control) and the sound quality that I bought a second unit for another room in the house two days ago. For this price, it's a real bargain!

    Definitely recommendable for patient people who don't need an alarm clock

    I wanted to use this device to replace a clock radio (where the time stops from time to time) and a cheap analogue amplifier. the following things struck me as very negative:

    - It has many loading screens with sometimes     very long loading times (e.g. switching on and listening to internet radio takes over 1 minute).
    - When the device starts as an alarm, it occasionally hangs on the loading screen of the internet radio without a sound to wake me up.

    • Audio quality (as digital up to the power amplifier without noise/humming)
    • all common connection and streaming options
    • compact beautiful design (even if made of plastic)
    • beautiful OLED display
    • Subwoofer output

    Contra

    • Alarm function not reliable
    • many loading screens
    • Some menu links only accessible with remote control
    • no rotary knob for volume (in my opinion a must)

    Good, but not perfect device

    I actually agree with Piskoty66's assessment. However, I find the software sluggish. Reading in the music tracks from the NAS takes over a minute for me (less than a second with the PC). That's why I only give it 4 stars!
