    Gigabyte Motherboard/KVM Switch combo does not work

    Does not run in combination with an older analogue KVM switch on a Gigabyte motherboard.

    Does not work on ASUS mainboards with combination socket, as Asus only supports either mouse or keyboard.

    It is better to use the PS/2-USB adapter cable.

    I can confirm the above conclusion. Test even on 2 different ASUS mainboards with so-called combination P/S2 connection. Only one channel is recognised, that of the mouse.
    It was tested with such a cable from a third-party
    supplier, i.e. not the one offered here. So it might be a general "hardware problem" and not the cable itself.
    It is best to use the PS/2-USB adapter cable (1x mouse PS/2 and 1x keyboard P/S2 on a single USB port). This works everywhere, even in the case of a disaster, where you can only "get" to the BIOS etc..
