purchased this productHDMI signal does not come through
In and of itself an elegant device... if then there would also come image.
Have tried everything that was lying around with me so, without success. After the second device had the same error, I bought the "Value Audio Switch with USB hub" and that works as it should! - m_hilpert

purchased this productDestroyed my graphics card
After connecting this KVM switch to my video card via HDMI and booting everything up, my video card is now broken. Even if I connect the monitor directly again I get no signal.

purchased this productMinimal features
This device is really only just a HDMI + USB switch. Only the selected input have the presence of the EDID and USB bus. That mean that that the screen and USB devices are disconnected each time you release the input, and is connected again each time you select the input. There is no EDID or USB device emulation to prevent the disconnection. You cannot control the switch from the keyboard. I worked around that by using a IR LED connected to a Raspberry PI and by using the gpio-ir-tx driver with the following commands:
Input 1: ir-ctl -S nec:0x8001
Input 2: ir-ctl -S nec:0x8003
Input 3: ir-ctl -S nec:0x8007
Input 4: ir-ctl -S nec:0x8009
Pro
- Cheap
- Good quality cables included
- Remote control with simple protocol
- Very low latency
Contra
- No hot keys switch
- Only just a switch, no emulation
- Screen EDID only on the selected input
- USB bus only on the selected input
- Sometime need a power cycle
