    meh

You're basically paying for a large but lightweight 17.3" laptop, with an FHD display and the 4C/8T i5-8250u CPU.

Now who should the laptop be for? Model 81BJ.

-you don't need to play games and therefore no dedicated
GraKa (implicitly no "switchable graphics" complexity and implicitly better "battery management" because of that).

-you don't want to load your own expensive "gaming/multimedia/work machine" with "junk" (and/or partition HDD)

    - for developers. Do you want to have a development laptop with Linux and Win10 ? But also despite a higher resolution of 3200x1800 or 4K display, don't want to program on an expensive 13.8" Ultrabook display? Here FOV (field of view) counts first, standard 1080p and no pixel less.

-Movies on a 17.3" lightweight notebook? Sure.

-Hobbyists. The laptop is crying out for a "pimp me up!". Someone already has a 480 or 512Gb 2.5" SATA SSD at home? This laptop does not have an M.2 interface.

    - 1Mb is enough for everyone (Bill Gates): Well, 6Gb sounds weird, but it's ok. The onboard 4Gb chips and the ones on the 2Gb module, are not the same. Dual channel according to cpu-z (but the test values are half as much as on i7-7820HK). Now do you want to expand this further with a 16Gb memory (for a total and maximum 20Gb) ? -> additional 190-200Chf, ->total 1000CHF -> better look elsewhere.

-CPU: 8th gen. It's great. The cooling doesn't seem to be enough (but could also be because of the 15W/25W TDP management) and it's throttled by ~88%. The thing is, it holds up well against an i7 7820HK (45 Watts CPU TDP,) about 85%, but not constantly under load. Ideal for edit/compile.

    - Battery: 30 Watts. Really? Well, the battery lasts for 4-5 hours. A challenge for hobbyists (if the battery controller is not time limited in charging, space can be created in the housing for larger flat Li-Ion cells).

    Pro

    • FHD 1920x1080
    • 1Kg and about light (+transport)
    • i5 8250u

    Contra

    • too spartan (USB C-type? Good, but only 2x USB 3.x? Enough for a mouse dongle and a USB stick )
    • Battery (5h, 30W) could be bigger
    • 2GB DDR4 expanded (4GB onboard)
    • Price (seems only cheap)
    • no illuminated keyboard (ok as long as no black background/wallpaper in the dark...)
  • Organismus

If you have a reasonable budget...a good choice.

I am very satisfied. I think price-performance fits. Fast and the quality feels good. I can only recommend it if you don't want to pay too much.
