Super-small PC, good graphics performance (slightly faster than a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti) and a blazing fast processor.

I equipped the NUC Hades with 2 x 8 GB Ram, which I overclocked to 2666 MHz. I left the AMD GPU at a GPU clock of 1200 MHz and the HBM2 graphics memory at 800 MHz. I set the GPU to 1,050 V and the processor graphics media voltage to 1,050 V. I set the Processor Graphics Ratio Limit to 12x. These settings can be set with the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
I also slightly overclocked the CPU Core i7-8809G, setting the first two cores to 4.1 GHz and the third and fourth cores to 4.0 GHz.
With these values, BF4, for example, can be played smoothly with a stable 144 FPS at medium graphics details (the NUC Hades is connected to a 144 Hz monitor). With these settings, BF4 runs smoothly and without crashes, and the CPU/GPU reaches a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius.
Since I rarely play games, good performance with Photoshop or Adobe Premiere was important to me. In addition, the PC should be whisper-quiet and consume very little power.
This wish has come true! The Nuc Hades is noiseless when running less computing-intensive programmes, and the power consumption is a moderate 20 to 30 watts.

Unfortunately, I had to send the Nuc Hades back to Digitec twice because the fans made noises as if someone was constantly holding a straw in the rotors.
Annoying, but Digitec sent me new units very quickly ->Fat thumbs up for Digitec!

    Beautifully compact NUC

Small but nice, also quite heavy, including the power supply unit. I estimate just under 1.5 kg in total. It's great for gaming. Not on ultra qualities, but it was a big leap from a laptop.

    So far, I haven't experienced
any medium or severe problems except for the ones mentioned below.

    Pro

    • Very many I/O's
    • USB-C monitor connection with USB hub support
    • Compact

    Contra

    • [Software] RGB cannot be changed situationally, only for Powerstate S0 and S3
    • [Software] RGB CPU activity setting does not work
    • When installing the 2nd M.2 SSD, the top cover plate presses on it strangely. Construct.error?
    • SD card slot leaves the card half sticking out
    • I have not yet been able to test the infrared receiver.

Incredible compact computer that exceeds expectations

(re-update) so many years later and I still use this as my portable gaming and video editing rig.
There are not enough characters in this text box for me to properly describe how amazing this deivce is.
    I am playing Assasins
    Creed Valhalla and Valheim.
My setup consists of my backpack, "Peak Design 30L everyday backpack v2, an Asus ROG Strix XG17AHPE portable 240Hz 17" screen. which when connected to the Hades, using its USB C for video, it also pulls power, so you dont need an additional power cable for the screen. just one cable. An Asus Claymore, a Gwolves Skoll Mini mouse, and a Glorius Mouspad which sits over the protective cover for the screen. and thats it.
So easy to unpack, setup and game. / dissasemble pack and go.
