Beautiful design, good quality (resolution, sound, etc.) but difficult to install.

The installation is simple and complicated at the same time. You can connect to the laptop with one of the many available cables (USB, HDMI, etc.) and it "works", i.e. you have a connection. But the driver provided by HP is rudimentary and I had the greatest difficulty moving the mouse from one screen to the other. It was all very bumpy until my husband installed a more specific driver and then everything was much smoother (drag & drop of windows between both screens, mouse movement between screens). I am disappointed with the poor support at HP. I don't think I could have done it on my own. If you've never worked with an additional monitor before, and you're not that tech-savvy, then getting it to work properly is really frustrating. Tip: HP support is k.... but the Digitec chat is really great! the tech support is very very friendly and helpful, looks for the right manuals, links etc. for you. Really a great service!

    Pro

    • Quality (resolution, sound etc.) is very good
    • beautiful design
    • easy to adjust ergonomically
    • Works well for video conferencing etc.

    Contra

    • no instructions in German (it came in Malaysian or something...)
    • Not clear which driver is needed for optimal display
    • had trouble setting the right brightness etc.
    • Driver that HP specifies is rudimentary. One must still look for an additional specific one
