    Not suitable with Linux

Contrary to the manufacturer's claims, "Out-of-the-Box Ready for Windows, Linux", this controller does not work under Linux. Otherwise, it's actually an attractive product.

    Pro

    • PCIe x2 connection
    • 4 SATA ports

    Contra

    • No Linux support

    Unstable in Solaris 11.1
    Same problem as by Pjotr_82.
Have 3 Seagate NAS ST2000xxx 2TB disks connected, after few hours of intensive use, all 3 disks disappear from the system. Hard reboot brings them back. Shall try to
play with controller's BIOS settings, otherwise return and search for another Solaris compatible SATA3 controller

    Pro

    • easy install
    • good price
    • PCIe2 bandwidth

    Contra

    • Unstable, disks disappear during operation

    Recommended

I bought the card because my motherboard has too few SATA ports.
This card solves the problem to my complete satisfaction.
The card is recognised immediately under Windows 10 and offers a good expansion for my system with
    the four SATA ports.

    Pro

    • Good workmanship
    • Easy installation
    • Four SATA cables are included in the scope of delivery
