Great pictures, handling and battery life sh......
Although the GoPro takes great pictures, and the pictures with the stabilisation are quite steady even down the Gotthard-Tremola road (cobblestone road) by bike, the most troublesome thing is the battery life. To get a day's alpine cycling out of the box, you either have to lug around an armada of batteries or the external charging station with a separate power bank, which makes the whole thing even more expensive. In this respect, the camera really disappoints me!
Addendum after approx. 1 month of further use:
I still find the short battery... I still find the short battery life. In addition, I have the following problems despite the latest firmware, resetting, formatting the SD card, setting everything up again:
- The camera switches on from time to time unnoticed and records, mostly black because it is stored in a bag. When you need it, either the battery is already empty or the memory is already nicely filled.
- When it is switched on, the video is always set to maximum wide angle. This results in a crooked horizon, and if you want to avoid this, you have to move the zoom every time you switch the camera on - a real pain!
- Tapping on the small touch screen is not easy, you usually have to tap several times before you get what you want.
- I find the connection to a smartphone awkward, especially since the battery life shrinks even more when Wi-Fi is switched on.
All in all: The videos are fantastic for the size of the camera, which makes you feel better when you watch them on a big TV, but during the recording you would like to throw them away because of the crappy handling!Pro
