    Finally!
    Five years after the release of the original X100, a MAJOR upgrade.

    • New 24.3-megapixel APS-C X-Trans sensor from big brother X-Pro2
    • New large battery
    • Joystics for focus points is ingenious
    • Button layout is now perfect
    • Start speed 1/2 second

    Contra

    • ISO Dial is a matter of taste (I like it)
    • Tripod mount still "off-centre
    • Price! The X100 cost 999.- at the time.

    Great camera to rediscover your passion, discrete, easy to control, great shots with it, lots of potential

    Got this camera as I watched lots of reviews. And would not find justifiable a Leica Q. Not disappointed at all. I had holidays with the family and knowing light conditions would not be ideal for non-flash, I had to get a camera that would help me get the best shots without being intimidating to others. Also I wanted less risk of missing the moments due to bad focusing or bad choice of settings.
    This camera fits very well, missed few shots and made great photos with the auto mode. Changing between aperture and speed settings is very easy and the built-in screen lets you see already the end-result before clicking. Focus is quite good and quick, be careful on sizing it correctly (easy to do with rotating dial on back side) and you get very good focus. Even on Fine setting I could get great detail and results on indoor lightning conditions. Also I could get the photos edited on my iPad using Lightroom and be able to push highlights and shadows to levels I couldn’t do before without loosing much quality. All that thanks to the well judged sensor and resolution.
    Yes, the camera catches little attention and to some even seems old or uninteresting, which is perfect to make photos without disturbing and catch interesting expressions for example. You disable all the sounds and it is the most conspicuous camera. That is also very enjoyable specially when you check the results.
    I agree that this camera makes you move to your subjects but also that it invites you to create, explore and that is something I appreciate: the joy of taking photos coming back.
    Apart from that subjective, find it well constructed, easy to fit into a medium bag, the viewer works very well you just need to get used to it and its 2 hybrid modes also very useful. Battery life was good enough but if you want to go for a trip better take two at least. Flash is good enough, I have lots of other things to explore on this camera but I am really happy and highly recommend it.
