Great travel companion for ambitious photographers. I do not recommend this camera for occasional photographers, as it is too complicated.

I've owned the X100F for a little over a week and was able to test it extensively during a short holiday. Basically, this is a fantastic camera! The feel is great and it feels very classy. The quality of the pictures is great. So far I have only taken JPGs, because this camera takes such beautiful pictures that I wouldn't dream of editing them.
The only drawback: the software, especially its operation, takes a lot of getting used to. Especially if you are used to Canon or Nikon cameras. The instructions are also poor. It's better to look for tips on the web or try it yourself. That's why I deducted one star.

    Pro

    • beautiful images thanks to the 23mm lens with max. aperture 2
    • White balance is almost always perfect, even in difficult lighting situations
    • Manual focusing very easy thanks to EVF and various focus aids
    • super beautiful black and white images in the film simulation ACROS-G
    • Many FN buttons that you can assign yourself
    • Very low noise, even at high ISO sensitivities

    Contra

    • No camera for (very) large hands
    • almost too many buttons, in my opinion
    • No lens hood included

the perfect compact camera in retro design with very good image quality

Very beautiful retro camera that you buy also because of the extraordinarily successful design. The hybrid viewfinder is unique. The image quality is first-class, even if the lens is not completely sharp at the edges. You can't expect that from such a flat pancake. I really enjoy using the camera. What I don't like is the hardly usable eye AF. The face detection, on the other hand, works well. The low noise is astonishing. Up to ISO 6400 you don't have to worry about it at all. Perfect. I have been looking for the best compact camera for a long time. This is it for me. Large APS-C sensor, viewfinder, good operation. I put up with the lack of IBIS, touch display and above all the lack of a tilting display. But I love the joystick. I already know and like it from the Sony A7III series.
On the other hand, the X100F is not at all suitable for automatic shooters. There is no green donkey automatic (iA).

If you don't like the 1 inch sensor cameras from Sony, Canon and Panasonic, this is the right camera for you. The X100F is unique on the market.

A real eye-catcher! Absolutely powerful camera!

Absolutely recommendable camera! The retro design is unique, a real eye-catcher. The film simulations by Fujifilm are really amazing. The camera's exterior is simple but very elegant, which I like very much. Functionally, it is nevertheless extremely versatile, the setting options are very versatile.
The viewfinder is equipped with various very helpful functions, for example, the menu or the photos can be switched to the viewfinder. The Wi-Fi function is also very helpful, but at least Fuji's app needs a little improvement, but what passionate photographer needs that?

    My conclusion: buy it!

    Pro

    • Very noble workmanship (eye-catcher!)
    • Versatile adjustment options despite simple design
    • Film simulations from Fujifilm
    • Top image quality

    Contra

    • Accessories from Fujifilm are not exactly cheap
    • App combined with Wi-Fi is (currently) not yet so sophisticated
