Dust magnet, grease measurement unusable, for half the price it would be super

    Please note before buying:
    a) The black version looks really cool...when it is freshly cleaned. You can see every speck of dust, every splash of water and every footprint. I clean mine every 2 days. If you don't want that:
    use white.
    b) The fat-% measurement is absolutely useless. (like almost every scale that measures through the feet). I have 9.8% in the full body scan and 14.3% on the Fitbit scale.

For a Fitbit family, this thing is absolutely brilliant. It's as comfortable as it's ever been. Stand on it, look at readings and walk away....Person recognition and sync with Fitbit account go by themselves. Really great.

All in all: great scale but far too expensive. If it was half the price, it would get 5 stars from me.

    Pro

    • Super easy synchronisation with Fitbit Universe
    • Looks cool (when freshly cleaned)

    Contra

    • Fat measurement unusable
    • Black version is always dirty
    • Too expensive

Outdated WLAN standards, inaccurate measurements - A bad buy.

The fitbit Aria 2 is one of the most expensive Wi-Fi scales on the market - my expectations of functionality and user-friendliness were correspondingly high.
Unfortunately, the product disappoints in all areas. The measurements
are inaccurate, the Wi-Fi connection does not work 9 times out of 10, the built-in components are outdated and the integrated software is slow. After testing the scale for a week and trying to solve the problems via forums and fitbit support, I am now sending the product back to Digitec. A bad buy.

    Contra

    • Aria 2 uses the outdated WLAN standard 802.11b
    • Connection to a WLAN based on Mac AirPort access points not stable (approx. 10% successful)
    • Measurement (weight and body fat) fluctuates strongly (+/- 1kg; +/- 5%). Test: 5 measurements, interval 2min.
    • Assignment of measurement to profile random (50/50 correct/guest)
    • Evaluation takes a very long time (approx. 15'')
    • Customisation and control via fitbit app rather complex

non-functional thing for the high price

Scale does not synchronise with APP despite correctly set up WLAN. After a little research on the internet (fitbit forum), there are many entries with similar problems. Why the scale needs Wi-Fi despite communication via Bluetooth to synchronise the weight with the app remains a mystery to me.
The fitbit APP is not very good either. There is also no synchronisation with, for example, the health app on the iPhone.

Conclusion: non-functional thing for the high price.
