Very poor throughput (just under 60MB/s). Also not bootable.
Lousy product, no wonder at this price.
For an old system, where you simply need more space, it might still be useful if nothing matters but more slots, no matter what throughput. but for productive work, no chance...

eSATA connection unusable, since - if it is dead - it must be used for booting. Boot order cannot be changed, as incorrectly described in the user manual.
Conclusion: if the e-SATA connection is needed, a sensible configuration is only possible in conjunction with an additional HD controller (setting the controller boot order via mainboard BIOS). - Anonymous

I have installed the controller in an ASUS P4PE 2002 old mainboard, together with a Seagate 500 GB hard disk. It runs together with a WD-120 GB IDE hard disk. Everything is ok.
For these prices stat Bios update, in an old Mainbord, very recommendeswert. Sometimes the old SATA Bios does not recognise the new hard disk generation. That was of course also our problem.
