    Beautiful canvas with flaws

Preliminary: I got the version with the velcro cover (no springs as in many videos).

Was all well packaged, the components are solid. The assembly of the frame goes so far quite simple, unfortunately, the parts in the corners
can not be connected partly flush, which is not really possible for the price and clouds the first positive impression. Who wants to use the screen without black border, will probably have more trouble with it.

The covering of the canvas cloth goes proficiently in the fingers, but goes basically well. But you should do it in pairs.

After that comes the vertical support brace at the back. You need a lot of strength for this. Although the bar actually seems quite stable, it can not quite absorb the tension of the canvas and bends a little...

The black frame rails go on easily, but are glued, which will disturb at the latest when moving.
For the lighting with LED strips (have taken Philips Hue, instead of those of Elite Screens) fits the space to the millimeter, but it is quite close to the outer edge and the light can not particularly diffuse.

The included hooks for wall mounting are unfortunately also of the cheapest variety and don't allow for any height correction. Without a leveler, it is quite difficult to hang such a large screen straight. Also there is no hook for the bottom. In the videos with the spring version was still all possible.

But if the thing hangs on the wall, you get a nice picture with much better black levels. Other light sources are now but also not as well deflected as one might expect.

    Pro

    • Looks good
    • Improves black levels
    • Tool included

    Contra

    • Typical US product. Massive parts, inaccurate manufacturing
    • Wall hook
    • Edge is glued on
