I have been using the Elgato Wave:1 for about a week now and am very satisfied with it. The microphone comes in attractive packaging with the necessary connection cables. The basic setup is pretty simple (plug it in and go). The Elgato Wave Link software offers a sufficient range of settings and audio filters. It can take a while to adjust the microphone perfectly to one's own requirements. After that, however, the microphone works perfectly. In addition to the Wave:1, Elgato also offers various accessories (Shock Mount, Pop Filter, Wave Mic Arm etc.) which are unfortunately quite overpriced. It's quite a pity that you have to buy the expensive shock mount to mount it on a microphone arm. In addition, the microphone is almost too sensitive. It therefore picks up relatively many unwanted sounds. With the "Noise Removal Filter", the whole thing can be compensated quite well. In my opinion, you can save the extra money for a Wave:3. There is hardly any difference in the audio quality. The LEDs of the Wave:3 are "nice to have", but not absolutely necessary.
The Wave:1 offers very good performance for the price. If audio quality is important for gaming or streaming, you should certainly take a look at the Wave:1.
