    Boycott EA!

Don't buy this game as long as EA continues to rip off their customers! Pure pay-to-win. Even heroes have to be bought (or by playing for about 40h without spending enough credits can be collected to unlock one.

    EA!

  • I can only warmly recommend it!

As with the predecessor, there is nothing to complain about in the graphics. The storyline (campaign) is always exciting and entertaining (especially for fans of the Star Wars universe). The multiplayer has undergone a terrific improvement in contrast to the first one (which was rather disappointing). With different classes, vehicles and special units, it is a big step closer to the legendary Battlefront from 2005. The one star is missing for the multiplayer, because I'm not a fan of star maps, as I think that combat should be more about aiming and hitting than star maps, which make the game easier and give you much more power compared to a lower lvl player... Despite everything, a great game!

    Pro

    • More game content
    • Battlepoints system
    • Improved combat system
    • Improved flight system

    Contra

    • Star charts
    • Pay2win (more limited, but minimally still present)
    • Star Wars fans who have never played a first-person shooter game before

If you like Star Wars and are not looking for a galactic conquest type of game with large maps, then this game will appeal to you.

The campaign is nice, but not worth 70.- on its own. The arcade mode is nice but lacks multiplayer modes for a pitched battle aspect, the AI is not good and the maps are too big for 10 AI vs 9-8 AI and 1-2 humans. In heroic versus mode with a friend, the mode becomes a lot of fun and the possibility to set up your own games is a plus.

The multiplayer will appeal to any fan of the battlefield rush mode, as the main land mode is a 20 vs 20 where one team has to capture, destroy, hack or protect (from MTTs, TB-TTs), 1 to 3 objectives to move to the next phase. Defenders must take down the number of enemy tickets or vehicle lives. The fighter assault mode is very cool, one team attacks and one defends objectives. There are 5 maps for this bluffing mode. It feels like star wars especially in cockpit view, but this is a disadvantage against other players.

The gameplay has its own particularities like the very important roll concept and the 1st or 3rd person view is a choice. The classes are a real improvement over the 2015 game, they allow you to choose your fighting style and they complement each other well, the cards bring more customization to the classes. The ships also have their own classes and upgrade cards.

Once the heroes are mastered, they are very useful to the team and fun to play. There is the possibility to train them in single player and a heroic battle mode exists in multiplayer.

Some unbalanced maps and lag that can spoil your games are too present, although in the process of being fixed.

The game will be completed by free dlc and season events will offer us to choose a side to complete challenges and win cards if your faction wins the "war". The game's follow-up looks promising.
