One of the bigger bad buys of recent times, especially considering the steep price:
The touch function, especially finger touch, is massively limited and error-prone, mostly the touch is not recognised. or aborted (when moving the window). Working in OneNote, for example, is de facto no longer possible with the slide, as it is very difficult to cut out the window with the finger and the zoom function with two fingers virtually no longer works.
In addition, the plasticised film material makes it more difficult for the pen to glide across the display.
In addition, the film makes the display so dark that it is hardly possible to use it outdoors in even weak sunlight. Deactivated power-saving mode and brightness set to 100% allows halfway work on the road, with the negative effect that this significantly reduces the battery life.
It is also not possible to remove the film temporarily and put it back on later, as it has an adhesive underside. Unfortunately, this has also led to dark spots (dust) on the display in two places, which can no longer be removed.
The only plus is the limited view of the display from all 4 sides (left, right, top, bottom). Unfortunately, this function partly cannibalises itself because of the necessary maximum display brightness (see above)...
From my point of view, the only sensible use is in the office, in low ambient light and with a mouse/keyboard. But you don't need a Surface for that...

After three weeks in gloom and constant reloading, I had had enough and confidently handed the foil over to the dustbin.

The product was delivered severely damaged on one side. The post delivery folded the envelope and damaged the filter irreparably.
