No impairment with the pen. On the contrary, writing feels even more "real" with the protective film. However, I have changed the pen tip to H. Unfortunately, this resulted in air bubbles coming from the pen tip and spreading over the screen, which had to be laboriously wiped away towards the edge of the screen.
Anti-reflective is moderate. (e.g. ceiling light from a conference room is still disturbing on the screen when the Surface is used as a notebook).
Unfortunately, finger-touch input was impaired for me (perhaps also depends on finger size? I don't have "sausage fingers"! Higher finger pressure was necessary and sometimes almost exhausting.
In addition, in my case (from my point of view) the foil was the opposite of a perfect fit, let alone 100% exact (picture attached for clarification.
I have now removed the film again, what a pity! Unfortunately, there are not many alternatives available. I will try another 3M protective film...

The application of the film is easy and bubble-free with a little practice. However, the accuracy of fit leaves much to be desired - the length of the film, the cutouts and the rounding of the corners are inaccurate.
The transparency and anti-reflective coating are impeccable. However, the surface tends to get dirty and is very scratch-prone. Especially in the upper area of the film, where the Surface Book closes, some scratches are already visible after a few days.
But yes... in the end, the film protects the display as it should.
