Very good ultrabook with excellent battery life and a beautiful display. Certainly a good choice for those who are willing to spend a little more on an ultrabook.

The Dell XPS 13 is my first Ultrabook, so I can't compare it to other Ultrabooks. What I can say is that the display is beautiful (almost no edges) and that the notebook feels high-quality. I don't have any coil whine on my model and the display brightness can also be adjusted manually. The only negative thing is the pre-installed Dell programmes, which you have to uninstall individually. I reinstalled Windows at the very beginning and downloaded all the important drivers from the Dell website without any problems.

    Pro

    • Almost borderless, matt display
    • Power
    • Mousepad
    • chic
    • Keyboard very pleasant in contrast to other Ultrabooks (Zenbook 3, MacBook)
    • good battery (60Wh)
    • enough ports (2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 3.1 with Thunderbolt, SD card reader, audio jack)

    Contra

    • Pre-installed Dell programmes
    • Gets a little too warm on the lap
    • Webcam at the bottom of the screen

    Buy recommendation

Modern, slim design. Ordered a Dbrand skin and replaced the thermal paste and the device does what it should.

I can't agree with the previous comment, I was able to turn off the "Adaptive Brightness" without any problems.

    Pro

    • Battery life (10+ hours for me)
    • Design (Small Screen-Bezel)
    • Battery status indicator LEDs
    • Small charging cable

    Contra

    • Very small Torx screwdriver needed to open the unit
    • Screen could still be a little brighter
