    DO NOT BUY ANYMORE

Anyone who has received the TLC model knows that these SSDs were cheap and good - price and performance very similar to a WD Blue SN550.

I wanted to order a P2 again today, but before that I came across an article at Toms
Hardware, in which it is reported that Crucial has downgraded the memory of the P2 from TLC to QLC, which makes this budget SSD effectively a junk SSD. THW also ran benchmarks and came to the conclusion that this SSD can no longer be recommended under any circumstances.

Very big boo! to Crucial for this move. Just can't understand why they want to forcefully ruin their hard built but still somewhat shaky reputation in the SSD segment.

    Pro

    • The TLC model is a top price-performance recommendation.
    • TLC model easily on WD Blue SN550 level

    Contra

    • The new QLC model is, in short, a cheek.
    • QLC model should cost only 1/2 to 3/4 of the TLC model, but price remains unchanged

The best compromise + free cloning SW

It is certainly not the fastest M2 SSD on the market, but it has the great advantage of generating little heat. Highly recommended.

    Pro

    • Very good price
    • Web support of the manufacturer
    • Free "Acronis for Crucial" cloning software
