Giving my girlfriend these speakers was probably a very, very rash act. I may now listen to her music all day at full volume, through my closed headphones.... Well yes.

Since I'm more the headphone type and my girlfriend
needed new speakers these were certainly for you a great gift, and for me, as it now turned out, a pain.

    But now to the technical:

Top workmanship, really high-quality drivers and materials were used. Only the weight already reveals a lot about the quality. Rather something more weight, instead of a Platikschrott. The bass and treble adjustment wheels on the front are very practical.

The sound is excellent for the price, but of course only if you play song files with decent quality. (not Youtube Converter etc...)

Handy size, as mentioned by some, good if you don't have too much space. And they look very good!

    100% recommendation to buy !

    Solid 5 stars *****

In use since yesterday. Even when I unpacked them, I was positively surprised by the relatively high weight of the speakers. This is evidence of a strong (and therefore heavy) magnet and a stable housing.

    For a PC speaker,
the sound is really good. As others have already written, the bass is clearly overemphasised. However, Creative's marketing department is only reacting to the preferences of mainstream buyers (the main thing is bass...). I therefore turned the tone controls to the extreme positions: bass to minimum and treble to maximum. Now the frequency response is balanced for me. The bass is still rich and the treble is finely resolved and reproduces an astonishing amount of detail.

The speakers also look good. They are smaller than I thought, which is positive.

Of course, the PC speakers are not studio monitors in terms of sound, but for the price they can be recommended without reservation. With even better speakers, you would have to think about the quality of the D/A converter of the sound card. I use the speakers with a Creative X-Fi. They probably won't sound as good on an onboard solution. Of course, an external audio interface would give even more, which is quite underestimated.

Great but there is always a catch

Great sound at a fair price. However, the speakers go into standby after a few minutes without sound, which costs a few seconds each time they are reactivated.
