Works very well with some tweaks

This adapter allows DP 1.4 card users to enjoy 4k120 full RGB (or 444 in YCRB) in 8 bits, on HDMI 2.1 displays (like the LG CX48 for example).

It's a good temporary solution, while waiting for your HDMI 2.1 card.

I'm currently using it with a GTX 1080ti and the LG CX48, and it does the job perfectly, however with 3 big BUTs.

First, you must stay on an older version of the nvidia graphics driver (I don't remember exactly which one, I think 456.64, but you can easily find it via google). The latest nvidia drivers remove the possibility of 4k120. For AMD, I can't say how it works with Freesync.

Then, you must also create a custom resolution via the CRU utility. Again, I invite you to look for a tutorial on the internet, but it is very quick and easy. You won't be able to do it via the nvidia panel unfortunately.

Finally, Gsync is unfortunately not supported. Same thing, you will also be limited to 8 bits on 4K.

The price is a bit excessive though.

Cannot be used on rtx 2080ti and LG oled C2

I can't set my LG oled C2 to 4k@120hz. I lose parts of my screen at the bottom and on the sides.

I'm not sure how to set up a custom resolution in the nvidia config panel, but it's a hassle and games won't be compatible with such resolutions.

Don't waste your money and time with this adapter. more
