My colleague at work has long sworn by a flat keyboard for programming, where the feeling is like that of a laptop keyboard. Until now, I used a mechanical keyboard, but I decided to give this keyboard a chance.
The typing feel is quite pleasant and the keyboard takes up much less space on my desk. However, I miss some details that I really appreciated on my mechanical keyboard.
- no media keys -> only keys for volume, but no pause, next and back keys.
- the keys do not light up -> not very practical in a home office in an attic flat in summer, as there is not much light in the room
- no F-key grouping -> the F-keys (F1, F2, ...) are all next to each other, without a gap (normally there are groups of 4), whereas I now always press F6, instead of F5
I assume it has no gaps so that two special keys fit at the end (Internet and lock Windows), which I also often press by mistake when I actually want to press F12 🙃
- Backspace key on the Num pad -> there is a second backspace key at the top right, where the minus key would actually be (the minus key shares the space with the plus key, which is smaller than on usual keyboards).
Overall, however, I am satisfied with the keyboard.

I know about Cherry from their famous MX switches, but I no longer have any interest to try mechanical keyboards. I switched from a mechanical keyboard (Logitech G512) to a slim keyboard because I wanted to try out this category plus I heard that it's better in terms of ergonomics. I realized that I very much prefer a silent keyboard to the loudness of a mechanical one. Plus on this one, I make fewer typing errors than the Logitech. I also like that the switches on this one are less "jumpy" than other slims from other brands that I have tried (Dell, Logitech, ...)
