Incredibly ingenious device!
I actually only wanted to use it as a replacement for my
laptop for time-laps.
But it turns out that you can use it for so much more.
for so much more.
So many functions! And the best thing is, you can combine the functions together! For example, start recording after 10 seconds, take a picture every 5 seconds, expose for 3 seconds and then stop after 1000 shots! And you can make quality settings on the camera independently of this.
The only detail I miss is a "clear" button that resets all settings so you don't have to delete everything manually. But that's just a detail!
Compatible with the Eos 7D! :)

I agree with the previous speakers.
I am absolutely satisfied.
I don't remember if the battery was included.
By pressing 3 buttons simultaneously, all settings are reset.
It's in the manual. 😉

I own several of these remote releases. I used the first one (which still works without complaint) on the Canon EOS 5D2 and the one I just bought on the Canon EOS R5 (the connection is now at the front next to the lens bayonet). Compared to more than 10 years ago, you only pay about 1/3 of the price for this shutter release now. This shutter release is proof that Canon does not leave the owners of accessories out in the cold when changing cameras, which in my opinion also shows that Canon is a real manufacturer of professional system cameras. Highly recommended - also because of its durability.
