Great performance in a small housing

You might think that such a small camera with so few controls would be hard to use, but I'm quite amazed at how well and practically Canon has managed it.
Together with the EF-M 22, you get what is probably the smallest
APS-C camera with good speed, fast and accurate AF and amazing image quality - my new 'always with me' that really fits in any jacket pocket.
With the new price, a real recommendation.

    Pro

    • Small and light
    • Very good picture quality
    • Very good AF
    • Good operating concept despite few elements

    Contra

    • Housing looks cheap
    • One more rotary wheel would have been nice
    • RAW format is not processed by CaptureOne

    Super camera

Excellent camera. Small, portable, very good quality. Excellent for low-light shooting.

Great camera for those who want to take good quality pictures in a small package.

A great camera! Small, compact, offers me (almost) everything I need for an acceptable price if you include the lenses. I chose the combination Canon 11-22mm and Tamron 18-200mm to cover a wide range for travelling. So far I am still convinced of my decision.
At first the M100 takes a bit of getting used to because everything has to be set via the menu, but after a few days I had to admit to myself that I prefer this operation to the combination of mechanical switches and wheels like the EOS500D (which I also have). With the 500, I usually have to turn the switch and then switch to the menu. With the M100, I am simply in the menu.
The body is small and easy to store, but unfortunately the grip is lost. A slightly ergonomic shape would be helpful. When using the Tamron 18-200mm, you simply have to get into the habit of holding the lens and only guiding the body.

    Pro

    • Small
    • Compact
    • Very good picture quality with small dimensions
    • Simple operation

    Contra

    • Grip when using large lenses
    • Menu navigation not possible with "sausage fingers".
    • Remote control with EOS Utility does not work. Complained to Canon.
