Definitely one of the most modular and customizable midi cases out there. The usual high be quiet! build quality and almost infinite configuration options make building a new system with this case a great experience.
As is now standard with modern cases, the DB700 offers comfort features such as a mainboard tray cutout, in which two 2.5" SSDs can also be screwed in. In addition, there are a total of three included hard drive cages, which each offer space for two 2.5" or one 3.5" storage medium. Great: No more fixed hard drive cage, so it is possible to see no storage media in the visible part of the case. Also obligatory for a case with glass front: Power supply cover, which makes all those non-annoying cables disappear wonderfully. It is also practical that despite the PSU-shroud, ventilation can also be installed in the bottom.
In general, with this case at least every setup can be realized, even the conversion, that the window is on the right side, is possible (Attention: Layout is then inverted, expansion slots are then above the CPU cooler). The installation of a water cooling system is also possible without any problems, the case offers enough space for radiators, pumps and expansion tanks.
Also outstanding is the great fan control, which not only controls 3 predefined levels (either with silent or performance preselection), but also loops a PWM signal of the mainboard if desired. Thus, all case fans can also be controlled via software/UEFI.
Also nice is the use of a native USB 3.1 Gen2 Type C USB on the front, for a late-2017 case you can expect that.

It's all in the title. I've had this box for a few months now, I don't find Default in it. I recommend it.

I own the Be Quiet Dark Base 700 and I have to say that there are better cases in terms of airflow.
I cool my i5 8600k (OC 4.4GHz) with the Corsair H110i and reach temperatures of approx. 52-56°C (mount lid) at full load. At first I had the WaKü mounted on the front, where I reached temperatures of 44°C at full load, but the graphics card (GTX 1080 Ti) had too little fresh air and constantly throttled down from 1800MHz to 1300Mhz at 70°C. With the WaKü on the lid and 3 front fans I reach temperatures of 56-60°C. This is associated with more noise, however. However, this is associated with more noise, as the WaKü on the lid does get loud, even if I have throttled the fans to max 1000 rpm.
Otherwise, it is a very nice case, which has an extremely good quality of materials and workmanship. The cable management is very well solved and there is more than enough space to hide all cables. I am very satisfied with the case except for the airflow, but this is an important point and therefore only 4 out of 5 stars.
