    Poor quality

Have two of these jump starters. Would clearly advise against buying because of quality deficiencies. Also lacks safety features that are present in other jump starters.

Quality defects were: Loose contact on one of the
power contacts (would have been enough to melt the contacts). And in one of the two devices, a larger solder ball was stuck to flux residue (could have been loosened by a blow and short-circuited the electronics inside).

Important: When the motor has started, remove the jump starter as soon as possible (is also written in the manual). It will be charged very fast until then - with 40A, what the generator of the car gives. Only when the battery in the jump starter has reached the maximum voltage, the jump starter switches off.

Reverse polarity should be avoided at all costs (even if the device says "Opposite Connection Proctection", 400A will flow for up to 700 ms until the jump starter switches off. Other jump starters measure the voltage first, detect the polarity reversal and do not switch on at all.

The battery has 3 lithium cells in series, with 1800mAh each. Battery internal resistance is 20mR (at 25°C), which is comparable to Noco GB40.

    Pro

    • Very compact (but good starting performance).
    • Good battery (internal resistance low).

    Contra

    • Quality deficiencies (safety relevant)
    • Reverse polarity protection poorly solved - only after 0.7s at 400A
    • No protection against reverse current into the jump starter when the motor has started.
    • Discharges itself quickly (charge every 3-6 months). Quiescent current: 70 to 300uA depending on temperature
    • The contacts on the unit itself unprotected -> store in case or protect.
    • No USB input for charging (but manufacturer-specific).

Must not be missing in any car (like the emergency box)

I have such a part in the car, it was also allowed to try in an emergency, unbelievable what comes out there for power :-) My diesel 2.5L arrived without problems, a LED lamp is also integrated and all common connections to charge cell phones.

    Pro

    • Very compact and still has a lot of power
    • Built-in LED lamp
    • All common charging cable adapter for cell phone incl.
    • Battery/charge level indicator via LED
