    Not really USB Type-C

On the device side, a USB Type Micro-B is installed, i.e. no Type-C plug. So you still have to use an adapter cable (which is included) instead of a normal Type-C to Type-C cable. Unfortunately, the product description skilfully omits this detail.

Chic player, which only occupies one USB C port on my iMac. Due to the design, you can hear the drive noise.

I bought the Asus SBW-06D5H-U because it is really very chic and thanks to USB 3.1 I don't have to occupy two USB slots on the PC like most other players, which only have to be connected via Y cable.

    One star is deducted
for the drive noise. Maybe not entirely fair, because portable drives are compact and thin, so of course you hear drive noise much better. I think this will also be the case with other external drives. Either you can live with it or look around for a larger drive, which is then no longer portable. You can't have everything.

The enclosed software solutions can all be downloaded as freeware from the Internet, so there is no additional benefit.

To be able to play Blu-rays, I first downloaded the Leawo Player because it is advertised as a free player for Blu-rays. That was the biggest mistake. I was only able to play one Blu-ray, all the others didn't work because the player didn't respond, crashed, always popped up an ad, etc. - So it's a very unstable solution, which is just rubbish. Unfortunately, the programme could not be completely uninstalled and I finally had to re-install my PC to get rid of this crap.

Now I have installed the VLC Player and with a little trick, I can now play Blu-ray's. Here is a guide on how to do it: www.aiseesoft.de/tutorial/vlc-bluray.html If the PC asks after the download which programme should be used to open KEYDB.cfg, do not select anything or close the window. Otherwise it will not work.
