    Purchase again? I think not!

Unfortunately, I have to revise my statement for the monitor.

The monitor is brilliant, it would also work accordingly and the support would bring what!

My model has massive backlight bleeding at all corners and at the
    top edge.
Playing in a relatively dark room is only possible if you set Brightness to 15 or less.
Even at 0 you can see the backlight bleeding!

The ASUS customer service then tries to talk itself out of it with "slight BLB would be normal"!

In Scenery Mode, the BLB extends from e.g. the lower left corner to almost the center of the screen!

    So much for light BLB!!!

Furthermore, the monitor occasionally no longer wakes up at startup or after standby!

The image remains black until you restart the PC via reset button or you set the monitor by pressing the stick several times the Hz down to 60 or press 3x to disable OC.

The 3 year warranty from ASUS is all well and good, but what's the point if ASUS doesn't repair the device but only replaces it with a used one if ASUS had one? Exactly, NOTHING!

Why one replaces a new device against a used one at all is also beyond me!

BLB, Deep Sleep does not work, now and then it comes to the "flickering" and ASUS offers me only a credit, where it takes 30 days until you even know if you get it!

In the meantime, you should then do what exactly? Buy a new monitor?

Is for me unfortunately no customer service from ASUS!

For what exactly do you buy a monitor that is advertised with up to 100Hz, 100% sRGB, AH-IPS (thus super colors) and is also very expensive, if you end up holding a product that does not meet at all what the manufacturer has promised?

I had already seen the screen at an exhibition in early 2016 and wanted to have one ever since. Who can afford it should grab.

Had to wait a long time until I could get hold of one. Had since February orders open with other suppliers, but none could deliver. Only Digitec has gotten a load lately in Switzerland. Bought a used one here. Except that the packaging is battered and a Swiss power cable was missing everything is i.O.. Apparently many return the monitor because they think it has too much backlight bleeding or IPS glowing. Only these customers should note that this is just not completely avoidable with this technology and design. Mine (although used) has no noticeable BLB and the IPS glowing (yellowish color cast in the corners) is extremely dependent on the viewing angle. Unless you're squatting in a dark room in front of a black screen, it's not really noticeable.
The part is almost as wide as 2 27 "s side by side. I would also use it at work. But of course I didn't buy it for work. With certain games, you still have to trick a bit or read through a forum from time to time so that it works with the right settings for the 21:9 format. Still screw something on the FOV and has already almost a 3D experience (have long played with nVidia 3D vision). The immersion is really great. I overclocked it to 90Hz right away. But since I prefer high settings and mostly aim for a stable 60fps, this is not that important for me. Witcher3, ARK and Batman Arkham Knight don't reach 90fps on high settings anyway. Especially ARK, since it's still an alpha version, can push the fps down to 30fps at 3440x1440 and 100% resolution scale. By the way, I have an EVGA GTX 980ti (overclocked to 1450MHz) installed. GSync doesn't help much anymore. As long as the fps fluctuate between 40-60, GSync is really the hammer. I recommend leaving the fps counter turned off and simply concentrating on the game.

Anyone who wants performance and image close to 4K, Nvidia has, absolute buy recommendation.

I've been using the monitor for a good half year now and I'm still thrilled. Sure, the backlight bleeding is there, but not nearly as bad as always written. I don't notice it in daily use. I have also calibrated the monitor with Spyder Color. The performance and the format are simply amazing. There is nothing that arrives here. What bothers me is the enormously large stand. I replaced it with a table mount and now it's great!
