Hi-Fi headphones for the home with a non-detachable cable.
I don't know this "new" version, but I still have a first-generation K701 that cost several hundred francs when it was new and whose headband knobs hurt a lot over time (until I had them removed ;-) ). If this 150 Fr. K701 is really built the same as the one from 2006, then it's a huge bargain. Unfortunately, AKG has totally exploited the model for marketing purposes Q701 K702, K7XX, K712, but regardless of these variation models, the original model is on a very high sound level, the best AKG has to offer (except maybe K1000)! Hardly any distortion and a very detailed sound. Airy and wide sound.
The AKG headband is an advantage and a disadvantage: anyone can put it on without adjusting anything. However, it is also a weak point: the rubber straps can tear (after years) and the transparent plastic stabiliser can break. AKG doesn't have as good a customer service as Beyerdynamic, for example (but is undercut by the Swiss rip-off Sennheiser).
The K702 is also equally expensive and has a detachable cable, so this is preferable to the K701 in most cases.
