The difference lies in the touchscreen, the Tab A with S-Pen has a smaller touchscreen matrix and is therefore perfectly made for pen input. The device without the S-Pen cannot be used with the S-Pen! Since this touchscreen is not designed for it, plus this one lacks the stylus and the transmitter/receiver for the stylus. Greez KingRaven90
