Those who are blinded by high read rates and unusually high, but only short-term write rates for SSDs should not consider this 970 pro 1TB model. Those who rely on permanently high write rates, even for minutes, will find what they are looking for here! One of the last NVME SSDs with higher-quality MLC flash memory. All newer models are cheaper due to poorer and slower flash memory. Only sophisticated intermediate buffers (caches) and multi-channel, parallel access to the data (e.g. Phison controller) ensure equivalent write rates, but unfortunately only for a few seconds or strongly depending on the filling level of the SSD. Perhaps the manufacturers will soon be in a position to reverse the direction of flash quality and offer better quality for customers who want to purchase them.

My computer is a LENOVO YOGA 920-13IKB RAM 8GB Intel Core i5-8250U @ 1.60 GHz 1.80 GHz 256 GB SSD 1)Is one of these two models suitable? -> Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280) -> Samsung 970 PRO (1000GB, M.2 2280) 2)What is the difference between "EVO Plus" and "PRO"? Hello,

1. According to the Internet (www.mrmemory.co.uk/ssd-upgrades/lenovo/yoga/920-13ikb#!samsu...), it is compatible, but I have not tested it...

2. EVO Plus are based on TLC memory (3 bits per cell), PRO are based on MLC memory (2 bits per cell), so they are more durable (they support more writing). For more information: www.lesnumeriques.com/ssd/ssd-tout-savoir-tout-comprendre-a1...
