M/L or S/M only concerns the size of the wristband.
On the official polar site it says:
- Training with GPS and optical heart rate measurement: up to 8 hours.
- Daily training session, continuous heart rate monitoring and smart notifications: 5 day
- No training sessions, no smart notifications, continuous heart rate measurement: 14 days

According to the specialists, you can change the clock to German.

The M430 is available in sizes M/L and S for a smaller wrist circumference. The watch is exactly the same size, only the strap is shorter in size S.
