It is stated that the headphones have no microphone and no smartphone remote control. But what is that thing in the bottom row of picture 2 (directly on the cable), which looks exactly like a microphone?

The thing on the Pioneer SE-CL502 is the sleeve where the two cables split. In the product picture it actually looks like a microphone. Is something being faked there? Probably.
But the headphones prove themselves.
