Are recordings on HDD possible and can I switch to other channels during a recording on HDD ( condition) ? Thank you

According to the operating instructions on page 31, recordings on an HDD are possible: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files/6/65oled865_12/65oled865_12_dfu_deu.pdf?_gl=1*vkwznw*_ga*NDA0MzY1Mjk0LjE2MjkyNzQ4Mzg.*_ga_2NMXNNS6LE*MTYyOTI3NDgzNy4xLjEuMTYyOTI3NDg3MC4yNw..&_ga=2.34727591.766500941.1629274838-404365294.1629274838 However, the hard drive is formatted specifically for the TV and the stored content can only be played on the same TV. Unfortunately, I could not find any indication whether another channel can be watched during recording.
